Parent & child classes

Give your child a happy start in maths!

Maths is everywhere – from numbers and shapes to counting, rhythms, and spatial skills. It’s part of our daily lives, even if we don’t always notice it!

At Dancing Digits, your child will discover these essential maths concepts while dancing and having fun. Built on research and a passion for early learning, our classes explore simple maths themes as your little one bounces to the beat.

Through playful movement, they’ll build core physical skills and gain confidence, all while boosting their social and early maths skills. Plus, our activities support brain development too!

Our classes aren’t just for the kids, though – they’re also a great opportunity for parents and carers to meet, chat, and make new friends too.

We currently offer classes in Nottingham and Derby, with more locations coming soon!

1. Baby Digits (9mths-2yrs)

For babies and toddlers aged 9 months – 2 years

Baby Digits classes are designed for you to enjoy quality time with your baby or toddler in a multi-sensory and engaging environment. We provide the music, props, and structure – so you can focus on having fun together!

You’ll both enjoy a range of playful activities – clapping, moving, and exploring sensory props like maracas, scarves, and ribbons. And as your little one watches you, they’ll start copying and moving along!

We’ll introduce numbers in a natural, fun way through simple counting games (steps, claps, or bounces). They won’t even realise they’re learning!

2. Little Digits (2-3 yrs)

For toddlers aged 2-3 years

In these classes, we encourage toddlers to explore simple shapes, learn left from right, and practise basic counting skills – all through dancing and moving to music with props.

We introduce early maths concepts like directions, patterns, and sequences through rhythmic movements and dance routines, helping develop their listening skills, memory, and ability to take turns.

Little Digits classes are the perfect way to keep your toddler active, boost their early maths skills, and enjoy quality time together!

3. Dancing Digits (3-4 yrs)

For preschool children aged 3 & 4 years

Our preschool classes are designed to get your child school-ready and build essential maths skills through dance!

Through jumping, wiggling, and dancing, they’ll dive into maths concepts like size, direction, and counting forwards and backwards. Along the way, they’ll interact with simple shapes and their properties through movement, while learning fun dance routines that help develop logical thinking, number reasoning, and an understanding of patterns and relationships.

These classes will help your child form positive associations with maths before school, setting the stage for their future success – all while having loads of fun!

Thank you for a great class! I’d just like to say a special thank you as well for your patience with Otis during the class, I know his presence in group activities can sometimes be a tad disruptive, but you made us feel so welcome and you allowed him to do things in his own way.
Rushcliffe Montessori Nursery
"Preschool enjoy their sessions with Dancing Digits in which they learn mathematical language and number recognition. Each week a recap from the previous week shows the children’s learning as they tell Gemma what they remember and listen eagerly for what they are learning that week. Each session is thoroughly enjoyed by every child."
